Anti-oxidation:Exposed to high temperatures in an oxidizing atmosphere,a layer of quartz glass protective film forms in the surface of element which prevents Mosi2 from continuously oxidizing. When the element temperature is higher than 1700℃,the protective film will be fused to molten drops and lose its protective function because the fusion point of Sio2 is 1710℃.In the oxidizing atmosphere,when the element is used continuously ,the protective film forms again. It is inadvisable to operate the elements in the 400-700℃, otherwise ,it will be powered because of strong oxidation due to low temperatures. The resistance of the element increases sharply as the temperature rises.Under nomal operating conditions,the element resistance doesn’t change as itages.Subsequently,old and new elements can be used with no problems.
